Finding the Joy of Love

This is a photography challenge that has daily tasks to find the joy of love. So I figured I would share.

01 what they do

Lucas loves technology. He wants our phones or the remote to the tv constantly. You can't fool him either by giving him one without batteries. He always finds the 'live' one.

02 how they look

These are my handsome boys that I love.

03 then and now

Now for this one I have to cheat because Amy already made a then and now picture of Lucas not too long ago. I loved it so much that I am getting the now picture put on a float wrap which should be here on Tuesday YAY! I still can't believe how much he has grown in a year. He is a far cry from that little baby on his laptop monitor.

04 what they wear

Lucas wears pjs. I am lucky that I can take him to the sitter in pjs and she will change him once he is more awake or after they play for a bit. We are not morning people at our house so anything we can do to get a few extra minutes of sleep is worth it.

05 love to hate

Lucas is not a big fan of wearing shoes or socks. He loves to take them off especially when riding in the car. These are the cute little shoes that his Aunt Joride bought him for Christmas for probably waaayy too much money.

Its the start of a new year. Amidst all the cleaning and organizing we make resolutions that we never seem to keep. I just want to try and make the best out of this year. To stop and take notice of the small things and not to let them pass us by in a blur. Lucas gets bigger every day and it amazes me that he once was so small. I love seeing him grown and learn new things every day. This year I want to do a photo project. I would love to do the 365 day project but there is no way I have time for that, so instead I will try at least the 52 week project. One photo a week is doable. Session Fee

The session fee is $50 and is good for up to 4 people (each additional person is $20). The session fee is due 5 days before your session to insure your time and to lock in at current prices. The session fee is nonrefundable, but transferable and covers the time and talent of the photographer shooting and proofing your images. The session fee does not include prints. A $100 minimum is required for all print orders. Sessions are on location at my home in Clermont, at a destination of your choice, or at your home if it is within Clermont city limits. I am willing to make travel arrangements out of town for a small fee. Sessions may last up to 2 hours. 2-3 weeks after your session, a gallery of 15-20 watermarked proofs will available for you to view. You will have up to 14 days to review the proofs and make your selections for prints, cards, etc. After this time the gallery will be archived and can be rehosted for one week at $25.

Cd of Digital Images

Digital images are only available after a print order of $100. You may purchase a disc of your session proofs for $300 or a single picture for $50. Along with your disc you will receive a limited copyright release form for printing privileges. Murariu photography is not responsible for printing done at any labs other than my own.

They have the most adorable woodland theme nursery since Jarod is a forest ranger and they both love the outdoors. I can not wait to meet Mr. Logan.

Sassy Miss Josalee. Josalee was in her first pageant this weekend. Mom wanted me to take a few pictures for the competition. I love to read. I believe that I got my love of reading from my mother who read to us every night as a child. It is so important to read to children and especially important to start a love of reading at an early age. My husband and I try to read to our son every night and he loves it. C Family Fun at Bass Pro Shop

Andy and Ren are good friends of ours who accompanied us to Outdoor world to see Santa and to take a few family pictures. If you have never been to Bass Pro Shop you should totally go. They have an indoor waterfall with giant fish, yummy snacks like roasted nuts, and plenty of room to roam around. Santa also has a workshop there and takes pictures with good little boys and girls. A good way to spend a few hours avoiding the Florida heat.

I had such a great time photographing this family just before Lucas arrived (would have posted soon, but I've been a bit preoccupied). I had Alex in my class for preschool and now she is a big kindergarten girl. I loved meeting her new little brother Colin. He is going to give Bella a run for her money in cuteness, although Bella can run quite fast =) Liam also had fun hamming it up.

If you havn't already heard, baby Lucas has arrived. He was born Oct 20th at 5:30am, 7lbs 3 oz 20inch long. We were induced on Oct 19th because I was preclamptic (high blood pressure). After pushing for 4 hours (2 hours one time, a break, then 2 hours again) they decided to do a c-section. Poor Lucas had a swollen head because he wouldn't fit. Once the got him all cleaned up and bathed they gave him back to me to feed him. Well he "fell asleep" as I was trying to nurse him and I asked the nurse if he should be such a sound sleeper. She came over and saw he wasn't moving enough because he wasn't breathing. She called a code on the phone and then about 20 people ran into the room and the curtain was closed around me so I couldn't see. They had to go get Dave because he was moving our things from the labor room to our room. They got Lucas breathing and then took him to the nursery. There he stayed all week. He was hooked up to monitors to check his heart rate and breathing because when he would get in a deep sleep he would stop breathing. Finally he stabilized, got taken off the oxygen, and iv. Then we were able to take him home on sat with an apnea monitor. It has a band that goes around his chest that monitors his heart rate and breathing. If his heart rate goes too high or too low or if he stops breathing an alarm goes off and we have to stimulate him to make him breath. Knock on wood the thing hasn't gone off yet. They also put him on caffeine in order to help stimulate his system. We are doing all of this for a month and then if things look good he can come off of both. So needless to say it has been touch and go, but it is all worth it for such a beautiful boy.

We both got married in the same year and followed that up with both getting pregnant in the same year (she is a few weeks behind me). So its been great to have someone else going through the same things. It has been such a pleasure to capture these moments for her and her husband Donnie, especially of her first little baby Kate.

Birthday Week

Wow it has been a very busy birthday week for me. I celebrated my 28th birthday on May 22. The weekend before that we had a bunch of friends and family over to celebrate since most people go out of town for memorial day. On Thursday my friend Lila sent me lovely flowers at work.On Friday (my actual birthday) I took the day off so Dave and I could go to Animal Kingdom. It was fun. I did pretty good for being pregnant. It was cute thinking this was the baby's first trip to Disney. We saw the bug's life 3d movie, Dave rode Everest while I watched, rode the jungle safari and saw giraffes, watched the lion king show, watched the nemo musical show with puppets which was fantastic, and roamed through the different areas before we got totally soaked with rain around 2 and left. It worked out pretty good because we got everything done that we had wanted to before it started pouring so we were good to go at that point.
I feel very blessed and spoiled this year. I can't wait to see what this next year has instore for me and my family.

Well much to my husband's dismay I convinced him into dying easter eggs. We got a new dye pack that was a dye and squirt kind. It was ok, but I like the old school way. The speckled eggs are the hardboiled ones and the others are regular eggs. We figured we didn't need a dozen hardboiled eggs, but I didn't want to waste the dye on only a few so we did the whole dozen. I love all the different colors. I would have colored on them more, but my husband put them into an ice bath so the white crayon wouldn't stick at all. Oh well, there is always next year. Plus next year we will have a little Murariu to help us out. Enjoy some fun I had with my depth of field that I like to call easter egg sound off.
